Our OmniSeal® spring-energized seals are composed of two key parts: a Fluoroloy® polymer jacket and an energizer spring inside the jacket cavity. Made of high-performance polymer materials, they are used in ultra-low friction, chemical compatibility and extreme hot or cryogenic temperatures. Available in four different series with a standard lip or skived lip, the seals have unlimited shelf-life compared to conventional seals. The seal was originally developed in the 1950s to provide improved performance over soft elastomeric seals and hard metal gaskets in aerospace turbine engines, rockets and missiles. The critical seals were later developed to handle extreme sealing requirements in oil & gas, automotive, life sciences, industrial and electronics.
